About me
My name is Troy Talford and have been an agriculture teacher since graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Education from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls in 2005. I have spent my entire teaching career at Sauk Prairie High School in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin teaching a variety of courses encompassing all aspects of agriculture including Horticulture & Greenhouse Management to Biotechnology and Veterinary Science. In 2014, I became a National Agriscience Teacher Ambassador and have gone on to become a workshop facilitator for the National Association of Agricultural Educators. I understand student development and showcased that knowledge by earning the title of National Board Certified Teacher in the area of Career and Technical Education in 2014. In addition to my role as a teacher in the classroom, I serve as one of the two FFA Advisors at Sauk Prairie High School, as well as Trap Shooting Coach, and as an ex-officio member of the Sauk Prairie FFA Alumni & Supporters Board of Directors. I believe learning extends beyond the four walls of his classroom and strive to provide my students with experiences to learn and grow through various means.
