The VSCP is a nationally recognized program designed for students interested in becoming a veterinary assistant. VSCP covers all species but emphasizes livestock and equine education and hands-on clinical experience.  The program is coordinated through Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, open to participating high schools, 4-H clubs, homeschools, and to private individuals, the VSCP has participants in all 50 states. If you are an educator looking for veterinary science curriculum, support, events or professional development we have something for you. Students are eligible to sit for a veterinary assistant certificate after successful completion of our program. Professional development and curriculum support for teachers in veterinary medicine and animal science is available at our annual summer trainings. Texas A&M VSCP is all things CATE, Veterinary Medicine & Animal Science all wrapped into one.
