Journey 2050 is a free program that engages grades 6-12 in discussions about world food sustainability. Lesson topics include sustainability, soil, water, economy, land use, culture, careers, and technology in agriculture. The program features a virtual simulation game composed of a farming game, knowledge test and career avatar. This program is ideal for both in-person and virtual learning settings.

In 2022, it is reported that 22.1 million full- and part-time jobs were related to agriculture and food sectors – 10.4% of total U.S. employment (USDA, 2023). With this many jobs within the agriculture sector, it is important now more than ever to expose our students to agricultural careers and teach them the skills they need to be successful. National FFA provides several educator resources to assist you such as AgExplorer, virtual field trips, employability skills lessons, and more! Learn about these resources and how to use them in your classroom.
