Pork Production: Hands on, Career Oriented, and Industry Approved
Thursday December 5, 2024 1:45pm - 3:00pm CST
There's a pig in your greenhouse? It's no secret that two sows farrow in our school greenhouse each spring to teach students about pork production. While not everyone can bring pigs to the classroom, Destination Pork is an awesome supplement! I will also provide you with my interactive, engaging, and fun lessons that counter this curriculum. The workshop will show educators how to utilize these lesson plan while also strengthening your skills, abilities, and knowledge in swine production. You will leave with a strong understanding of what this curriculum can offer you along with lessons that make it more interactive towards your classroom. Curious about farrowing sows in your greenhouse? We'll talk about that too!
